# Why has my session expired?

On Talview, your session remains active until you log out. If you're seeing a session expired message or have been logged out unexpectedly, it's likely due to a browser issue rather than a platform timeout. In this article, you will find the most common causes and fixes to restore your session quickly.

### 🔎 Troubleshooting common issues

| **What Might Be Wrong** | **How to Fix It** |
| :- | :- |
| Your browser cookies were cleared or expired | Log back in. Avoid clearing cookies while actively using the platform. |
| You're using multiple browser tabs or windows | Close any duplicate tabs and log in again from a single tab. |
| Your browser is causing issues | Clear your cache and cookies on **Google Chrome**, **Microsoft Edge**, or **Mozilla Firefox** (recommended browsers) and reload the page. Try logging in on a different browser. |
| You're on an unstable internet connection | Check your connection and log back in once it's stable. |
