# Sharing Screen during a live Interview in Talview Interview Rooms

**Talview Interview Rooms** provide a secure and interactive space for interviews and assessments. While features like **CodeJam** (for coding tasks) and **Whiteboard** (for visual problem-solving) are available within the platform, you may also be asked to **share your screen** when presenting assignments, portfolios, or project work.

This guide explains when and how to share your screen effectively.

## When Do You Need to Share Your Screen?

You may be asked to share your screen in situations such as:

* Presenting a **portfolio** or project work.
* Walking through a **case study or assignment**.
* Delivering a **PowerPoint or document-based presentation**.
* Demonstrating **external tools or workflows** not supported within Talview’s built-in features.

## Step-by-Step Guide to Screen Sharing

1. **Join the Interview Session**
   * Click the **Join Interview** link from your invitation.
   * Allow access to your **camera and microphone**.
2. **Locate the Screen Share Option**
   * In the Talview Interview Room, click the **Share Screen** button.
3. **Choose What to Share**

   You will see three options:

   * **Entire Screen** – Shares everything on your desktop (use only if required).
   * **Window** – Shares one application window (e.g., PowerPoint, PDF viewer).
   * **Browser Tab** – Shares a single tab (useful for online portfolios or web-based content).
4. **Confirm Sharing**
   * Click **Share** to begin.
   * Your interviewer(s) will now see the selected content.
5. **Stop Sharing**
   * Once finished, click **Stop Sharing** from the control bar.

## Candidate Checklist Before Sharing

* Close unrelated tabs, apps, or private documents.
* Keep only the **presentation/assignment materials** open.
* Turn off desktop notifications (emails, messages, pop-ups).
* Test your presentation file or web link in advance.
* Use Google Chrome (latest version) for best performance.
