🚀 January 2026 Release Highlights
The January 2026 release introduces stability improvements and targeted enhancements across Interview Rooms and Proctoring, with a strong focus on reducing friction for interviewers, candidates, and reviewers. These updates improve cross-browser consistency, refine secondary camera behavior, strengthen Secure Browser controls, and enhance reviewer workflows and LMS integrations.Interview Rooms Enhancements
Fixes & Improvements
- Smarter Secondary Camera Triggering
Secondary Camera requests now auto-trigger only when the 360° environment check is system-initiated. Manually requested checks by interviewers no longer trigger the secondary camera automatically, reducing unnecessary interruptions. - Restricted Insights Visibility with GrowthBook Enabled
When GrowthBook is enabled, only the Verification tab and video playback are now visible. Other Insights tabs such as Overview, Transcript, and Speaker are hidden to ensure controlled access. - Background Effects Support on Safari and Firefox
Interviewers using Safari and Firefox can now use Background Effects, ensuring a consistent interview experience across major browsers.

Secure Browser (Mac OS)
Improved Handling of Restricted Software
Secure Browser now provides a smoother recovery flow when restricted applications are detected on Mac OS. What’s new- Secure Browser temporarily exits kiosk mode without closing
- Test takers can open Activity Monitor to close restricted applications
- Kiosk mode automatically resumes once the issue is resolved
The exam timer does not pause when kiosk mode is exited.
Proctor NG (Version 7+)
Welfare-Related Dispositions in Proview Index
Reviewers can now select welfare-related dispositions when updating a session’s Proview Index. Available dispositions- Proctor Welfare Concern: Candidate made abusive or inappropriate remarks toward the proctor
- Candidate Welfare Concern: Candidate showed signs of distress or potential risk and may require follow-up
Integrations (Version 7+)
D2L LMS – Apprentice Role Support (GA)
Apprentices are now supported as test takers for proctored quizzes in D2L LMS. What’s new- Apprentices can attempt proctored quizzes like Students and Learners
- Apprentices are automatically included when syncing attendees from the LMS dashboard
Bug Fixes
Secondary Camera Connection Blocking Exam Start
Issue: Some candidates were blocked from proceeding after connecting their phone as a secondary camera during pre-flight checks. Fix: Secondary camera connections are now correctly detected and validated in LMS integrations.
