This article explains how interviewers can view and manage recording status during a Live Interview. Recording always requires candidate consent, and the interviewer can request consent whenever needed.

Prerequisites

  • You must be logged in as an interviewer.
  • You should be inside the Live Interview Room.
  • Ensure your camera and mic are allowed in the browser if you plan to record both sides.

Video Guide

Recording Indicator

The top of the Live Interview Room displays the current recording status:
  • Red indicator + “This interview is being recorded.”→ Recording is active.
  • White indicator + “This interview is not being recorded.”→ Recording is disabled due to candidate preference or compliance rules.
Interviewers can also see whether the candidate has consented or declined recording.
If recording is disabled:
  1. Click “Request consent.”
  2. A prompt appears for the candidate.
  3. Recording resumes only if the candidate clicks “I consent.”
You cannot force or override recording without candidate approval.

Steps to Resume Recording

Once the candidate provides consent:
  1. The indicator changes to red.
  2. The message updates to: “This interview is being recorded.”
  3. You may continue with the interview as usual.
If the candidate opts out again, the system stops recording immediately.

Additional Notes

  • Always verify that the candidate has given explicit consent before recording.
  • Recording features may vary based on compliance requirements in different regions.
  • The candidate has full control and can stop recording at any time.
