During a live interview in the Platform, candidates have full control over whether their session is recorded. It clearly displays the recording status and allows candidates to stop recording at any time by withdrawing their consent for regions where recording is optional.
This feature ensures transparency, privacy, and comfort throughout the interview experience.
Steps to Stop the Interview Recording
Check the Recording Indicator
- A red recording indicator appears at the top of the screen when the interview is being recorded.
- You’ll also see the message: “This interview is being recorded.”
Opt Out of Recording
- Click on the red recording indicator or the text displayed below it.
- A consent prompt appears with two options:
- I consent
- I don’t want to be recorded
- Select “I don’t want to be recorded” to withdraw your consent.
- The recording stops immediately, and the indicator changes from red to white.
Confirm the Change
-
Once you opt out, the indicator turns white and displays the message:
“This interview is not being recorded.”
-
In some cases, you may also see a message stating:
“Recording is disabled by policy.”
Notes
- Stopping the recording applies only to the current interview session.
- Interviewers and system administrators are automatically notified when you change your recording consent.
- Recording cannot be resumed during the same interview once you’ve opted out.
Tip: If you’re unsure about recording policies for your interview, you can check with your recruiter or interviewer in advance. This ensures a smooth experience during your Talview interview session.
