During Live Interviews, interviewers may use VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) calls to contact candidates directly when they are unable to join the interview on time, face login issues, or are marked as no-shows. This helps ensure timely communication and avoids unnecessary interview delays. Unlike in-platform calls, VoIP calls are placed to the phone number you registered, and they may appear as an international call on your mobile screen. These calls are used only to help interviewers quickly connect with you and guide you into the interview.

When Might You Receive a Phone Call?

You may receive a phone call from the interviewer if:
  • You have not joined the interview at the scheduled time
  • You are marked as Late or No-Show
  • You are facing login or access issues
  • The interviewer needs to confirm your availability or help you join the session

What Happens During the Call?

1. Interviewer Initiates the Call
  • If you have not joined the interview on time, the interviewer can trigger a VoIP call directly from the platform.
  • The system automatically dials your registered phone number.
2. Incoming Call on Your Phone
  • You receive an incoming call on your personal mobile device.
  • The call typically appears on the caller ID.
3. Answering the Call
  • Candidates can answer the call as they would a regular phone call.
  • Once connected, they can speak directly with the interviewer.
  • The interviewer may confirm attendance, share instructions, or help the candidate join the ongoing session.
4. During the Call
  • Candidates can answer the call as they would a regular phone call.
  • Once connected, they can speak directly with the interviewer.
  • The interviewer may confirm attendance, share instructions, or help the candidate join the ongoing session.
5. Post-call process
  • After the call, the interviewer can update the candidate’s status (e.g., Joined Late, Unable to Reach, or Rescheduled).
  • Follow-up communication or interview continuation happens within the platform as usual.

Best Practices for Candidates

  • Ensure your registered phone number is correct and active.
  • Keep your mobile device nearby and unmuted during the scheduled interview time.
  • Answer promptly to avoid being marked as a no-show.
  • Maintain a stable mobile network for uninterrupted communication.
If you do not receive the call, check your mobile network, and ensure you’re not in airplane mode. The interviewer may attempt again within a few minutes.
