Proctored Assessment Onboarding Guide

Please read this guide before starting your exam session.

Make sure you have a stable internet connection, a laptop, a secondary device (mobile device/tablet), and a valid photo ID.

Step 1: Start the Session

Start your exam session from the link provided to you. Once the session starts, you will be onboarded with the steps preparing your system for a proctored session.

Step 2: Onboarding

A. Recording & Privacy

1. Review the data collected throughout the session.
   • Face Capture
   • Session Recording
   • Photo ID Check
2. Click Accept and Continue.
3. The Need Help option will be available at the bottom-left corner throughout the session.

B. Instructions

Photo ID Confirmation

1. Make sure your photo ID is with you.
2. Click Yes, it’s ready.

Secondary Device Check

1. Ensure you have a fully charged secondary device (phone or tablet).
2. Click Yes, it’s ready.

C. Allow Camera and Microphone Access

1. Your browser will ask for permission to access:
   • Camera
   • Microphone
2. Allow both to continue the session.

D. Camera Position Check

Sit facing the camera in a well-lit area. Make sure your entire face is clearly visible.

1. Use the camera preview shown at the bottom-left to adjust your position.
2. Click Continue.

E. Share Screen

A short visual guide will appear showing how to share your screen. You must share your entire screen to start the exam.

1. Click Share Screen.
2. You will see three options:
   • Microsoft tab
   • Window
   • Entire Screen
3. Select Entire Screen (not a tab or window).
4. Continue once screen sharing is enabled.

Step 3: Connect Secondary Device

A. Scan QR Code

1. Use your secondary device to scan the QR code shown on the laptop.
2. Click Continue on the laptop.
3. Enter the 8-digit verification code displayed on your secondary device.
4. Once connected, click Get Started.

Step 4: Onboarding on Secondary Device

A. Allow Permissions

1. Allow camera and microphone access on the secondary device.
2. Click Continue.

B. Environment Check

1. Click Proceed.
2. Use the camera to show a 360° view of your exam environment.
3. Match the blue dots for a steady and clear scan.
4. Once completed successfully, click Continue.

C. Photo ID Verification

1. Click Proceed.
2. Select the following details:
   • Country
   • State
   • ID Type
3. Capture your ID:
   • Front side → Click Next
   • Back side → Click Continue

D. Verification Complete

1. Wait while your ID and environment are verified.
2. Once all checks are successful, click Continue.

E. Place Secondary Device

1. Place the secondary device on a stable surface.
2. Rotate and position it horizontally as instructed.
3. Click on Continue on Primary device.

Step 5: Exam & Session Control

A. Start Exam

• Onboarding is now complete.
• You can begin your exam.
