Sometimes, candidates may appear as “Invited” even though they claimed to have confirmed their participation. This can happen due to communication gaps, system settings, or candidate-side issues. Below are common causes, ways to fix them, and additional tips to ensure the candidate journey runs smoothly.

Candidate accessed the system on mobile, and the confirmation did not register due to browser or device compatibility issuesAsk candidates to retry confirmation using a desktop browser.
Ensure the platform runs on the latest version.
Candidate confirmed, but data sync between candidate dashboard and recruiter dashboard failedManually refresh the workflow page or trigger a system sync from the admin settings.
If the issue persists, raise it with Talview Support.
Candidate only clicked RSVP in the ICS file but did not confirm in the platform (when platform confirmation is required)If your workflow requires platform confirmation, instruct the candidate to log in and confirm.
Note: If only ICS RSVP is needed, clicking the RSVP option in the ICS file is enough—no need for platform confirmation.

Additional Tips

  • Always guide candidates to confirm only via the official candidate portal or link, not through replies to automated emails.
  • Set clear communication in reminder emails—specify the exact action candidates must complete (clicking “Confirm,” not just replying).
  • Build in a buffer for confirmations to account for late responses or technical issues.
  • If multiple candidates face the same issue, review workflow rule automation or raise a consolidated support ticket for resolution.
