How to update camera permissions on browser?

Google Chrome:

  1. Open Chrome and click on the three dots (menu) in the top right corner.
  2. Go to Settings > Privacy and security.
  3. Click Site settings.
  4. Under Permissions, click Camera.
  5. Make sure “Sites can ask to use your camera” is selected.
  6. Remove exam related sites listed under Not allowed to use your camera by clicking the trash bin icon.
How to ensure current site is allowed -
  • Click the lock icon next to the URL.
  • Select ‘Site settings’.
  • Ensure the camera permission is set to ‘Allow’.

Microsoft Edge:

  1. Click the three dots (menu) in the top right corner.
  2. Go to Settings > Cookies and site permissions.
  3. Scroll down to Camera.
  4. Make sure the option “Ask before accessing (recommended)” is enabled.
  5. Remove any blocked sites from the Block list.
How to ensure current site is allowed -
  • Click the lock icon next to the URL.
  • Choose ‘Permissions for this site’.
  • Set camera permission to ‘Allow’.

Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Click the three lines (menu) in the top right corner.
  2. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security.
  3. Scroll down to Permissions and click Settings next to Camera.
  4. Make sure “Always Ask” is selected from the drop-down for all listed sites.
  5. Remove any sites from the Block list if necessary.
How to ensure current site is allowed -
  • Click the lock icon (or ‘Connection secure’) next to the URL.
  • Select ‘More Information’.
  • Go to the ‘Permissions’ tab.
  • Set camera permission to ‘Allow’.
After making changes:
  • Reload the page using the refresh button or by pressing F5 if the changes are not applied.
